I hope the correct rendering of the refrain is as follows: “Yahweh ni Mungu! Yahweh ni Bwana!” If so, it’s interesting that another African language, Yoruba, would have it had something like, “Yahweh ni Olorun! Yahweh is the Lord or Master!” If so, hadn’t we better start looking at the things that bind us together in Africa? The same preposition — same in spelling and pronunciation — in co-occurrence across a vast African distance!
